Double DNF for Team WFR puts the pressure on for final race

Both Team WFR riders failed to score any points in Race 2 of the final British Superbike Championship round at Brands Hatch as James Westmoreland crashed out after Alex Lowes retired with a technical problem. Race 2 Alex had been running in 3rd when a technical issue caused him to sit up on lap 13 which let a host of riders through, including Barry Burrell, Michael Laverty,Josh Brookes and teammate Westy. Rain wrecks Race 1 for Lowes

Alex Lowes failed to score any points in Race 1 of a triple header weekend at Brands Hatch as a wet track caused him to crash out on lap 15 whilst running in 2nd. The race was red flagged just seconds later. Race 1 Alex made a good start from pole position to slot into 2nd behind Shane Byrne and after a tussle with Michael Laverty, a mistake by the Samsung rider allowed Alex to pull away from the pack and begin to chase down Shakey. Lowes claims final pole position of 2012

Alex Lowes claimed his fourth pole position of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship season at Brands Hatch earlier today (Saturday) as the young title challenger held off local hero Shane 'Shakey' Byrne ahead of race one this afternoon. Lowes takes maiden BSB win at Silverstone

Alex Lowes converted his pole position start into a brilliant maiden victory in the first British Superbike race at Silverstone today (Sunday). Race 1 Alex didn’t make the best of starts from pole position – but soon managed to climb his way to 2nd as a fantastic and thrilling race unravelled.
